Observations 2022

Flora and Fauna in West Penwith Observations in 2022

The objective of these pages is two fold:

  • Firstly to record and photo interesting or outstanding examples of plants and wildlife to be found in our area. This can be in your garden, a neighbour’s garden or just in our countryside and along our  coast
  • Secondly, we are interested in developing a record of the changing climate and its impact on species of plants and animals in our area, including plants that are in bud or blooming much earlier or novel plants and animals that are establishing themselves in West Penwith
  • We also use this page to record what plants are flowering in member’s gardens on New Years Day. This is done in remembrance of one of our founding members Maryella Piggott.

We encourage all members and non members to submit photographs and information on date and location of the observation.

Please forward your photo and observations to Penny@peninsulagardensociety.org and she will publish them on the page for the current year.
